The Boston Design Center is New England’s premier resource for design professionals, with sixty showrooms featuring over 1,200 luxury product lines of fabric, furniture, lighting, antiques, fine art, wall and floor coverings, kitchen and bath components, and contract services. The Boston Design Center is New England’s largest, all-inclusive luxury design resource. In addition to honoring the traditional design-trade-only model, the Boston Design Center also has interior designers available to meet with customers, to facilitate purchasing from showrooms. The BDC attracts Boston’s brightest designers, skilled makers, specialty manufacturers and home and contract furnishings. Its showroom community has served design professionals and their clients for over thirty years, providing unrivaled product selection, customer service, and design expertise.

How To Get Here

MBTA Subway Service - Silver Line Waterfront

Conveniently located at South Station, take the Silver Line Waterfront (SL2) to the Boston Design Center.


Boston Design Center maintains an automated visitor parking lot off of Drydock Avenue in front of the BDC. Payment for parking by credit only is collected at the lot exit gate. Hourly rates apply from 8 am to 9 pm.

Short term 90 minute visitor parking is available in designated spaces on the north (Drydock Ave) side of the building.

There is no visitor parking in the front courtyard or on the south side of the building. Visitor parking is not permitted in reserved or permit parking spaces. Parking regulations are strictly enforced. Violators will be towed.

Dining at the BDC

Visit Chickadee, the award winning newly opened full-service restaurant. Enjoy delicious Mediterranean inspired bites for lunch and dinner, Monday to Saturday, and don't forget to check out their cocktail menu. Looking for a quick bite for a sweet treat or a healthy breakfast or lunch, visit Flour Bakery + Cafe. Both Chickadee and Flour are located outside on the Promenade.

Everyone is welcome at the Boston Design Center and if you need an interior designer to guide you, we have a welcoming and knowledgeable Design Services team to help you.

Designer Lounge

Located on the 2nd floor, you'll find a relaxing space for client meetings and our meeting tables provide ample room to review design documents.

The Innovation and Design Building is home to a diverse mix of companies and entrepreneurs, including architects and engineers, skilled makers and craftspeople, research and development firms, and technology start-ups. Boston Design Center, Reebok, America’s Test Kitchen, Autodesk, Continuum, Neoscape, Elkus Manfredi Architects and The Boston Beer Company are just some of the tenants at the Innovation and Design Building. Most recently, Reebok opened their world headquarters and a retail store. The complex is conveniently located along the MBTA Silver Line route, just minutes from South Station, and is flanked by one of the country’s largest working dry docks to the north and by the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal to the south.
